Chamjin Korean Medicine Clinic (“Chamjin Clinic”) complies with applicable privacy laws and regulations that information and communications service providers must observe, including the Protection of Communications Secrets Act, the Telecommunications Business Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. (“Network Act”). In accordance with these laws, Chamjin Clinic establishes and adheres to this Privacy Policy to protect users’ rights and interests.
Chamjin Clinic collects the following personal information for membership registration, smooth customer consultation, and provision of various services:
Name, ID, password, mobile phone number, date of birth, gender, email, address, occupation
In addition, the following information may be generated and collected in the course of service use or business processing:
Browser type and OS, search keywords, service usage records
IP address, visit date and time, service usage history, records of improper use, address, payment records, cookies
Chamjin Clinic collects personal information through:

Chamjin Clinic uses the collected personal information for the following purposes.
Identity verification under the limited real-name system for member-only services, personal identification, prevention of fraudulent use and unauthorized access by misbehaving members, confirmation of intent to join, restriction on repeated sign-ups, retention of records for dispute resolution, handling complaints, and delivery of notices
Development of new services and provision of customized services, display of advertisements based on demographic characteristics, verification of service effectiveness, provision of event and promotional information, analysis of access frequency, and statistics on members’ service usage
Chamjin Clinic uses users’ personal information within the scope notified in “2. Purpose of Collection and Use.” It does not use information beyond such scope or disclose it to third parties without prior consent, except in the following cases:

Where disclosure is reasonably deemed necessary under applicable laws (e.g., requests from government or investigative agencies pursuant to due legal procedures)
Chamjin Clinic does not outsource the processing of customers’ personal information to external parties.

In principle, users’ personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved.
Information entered by users for membership registration, etc., is transferred to a separate database (or stored in a separate file cabinet for paper-based information) after the purpose is achieved and is stored for a certain period pursuant to internal policies and related laws (see “5. Retention and Use Period”) before being destroyed. Such information will not be used for purposes other than retention unless required by law.
Personal information printed on paper: shredded or incinerated
Personal information stored in electronic files: deleted using technical methods that render the records irrecoverable
Chamjin Clinic does not collect resident registration numbers and does not post or provide harmful information to children; thus, when a child submits a personal information infringement report or consultation request, consent of the legal representative is not required. Children may submit such reports or requests directly.
Users may access, correct, and delete their information at any time. Legal representatives of users or children under 14 may request account termination at any time. After logging in, users may modify personal information or withdraw membership under “My Page → Edit Personal Information.” Users may also contact the Personal Information Manager in writing, by phone, or by email; prompt action will be taken.
If a user requests correction of an error, the relevant personal information will not be used or provided until correction is completed. If incorrect information has already been provided to a third party, Chamjin Clinic will promptly notify the third party of the correction so that the correction can be made.
Personal information terminated or deleted at the request of the user or legal representative will be processed in accordance with “5. Retention and Use Period” and will not be viewed or used for any other purpose.
Chamjin Clinic uses cookies that store and retrieve user information to provide customized services. Cookies are small pieces of information sent by the server (HTTP) operating the website to the user’s browser and may be stored on the user’s hard drive.
To identify the visits and usage patterns of each service and website of Chamjin Clinic, popular search terms, secure connections, news editing, and user scale, in order to provide optimized information.
Users may choose whether to accept cookies. By setting options in their web browser, users can allow all cookies, receive a prompt each time a cookie is stored, or refuse storage of all cookies.

Chamjin Clinic implements the following measures to prevent loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage of personal information.
We regularly back up data to prevent damage, use up-to-date antivirus programs, control unauthorized access through an intrusion prevention system, and strive to implement all possible technical measures to ensure system security.
Access to personal information is limited to designated staff. Separate passwords are assigned and regularly updated for those in charge, and ongoing training is provided to ensure compliance with this Privacy Policy. Issues discovered are promptly corrected.
Chamjin Clinic is not responsible for problems arising from the user’s negligence or internet issues that lead to the leakage of personal information such as ID, password, or mobile phone number.
Chamjin Clinic designates a Personal Information Protection Manager and staff in charge to receive opinions and handle complaints regarding personal information.
