    Terms of Service – Chamjin Korean Medicine Clinic

    Article 1 (Purpose)

    These Terms and Conditions set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users when using the website operated by Chamjin Korean Medicine Clinic (hereinafter referred to as the “Chamjin Clinic Website”) and its related Internet services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”) under a single ID and password.

    Article 2 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

    1. These Terms shall take effect when disclosed to users.

    2. Chamjin Clinic may amend these Terms in the event of operational or business needs. The amended Terms shall become effective in the same manner as above.

    Article 3 (Applicable Regulations)

    Matters not specified in these Terms shall follow applicable laws and regulations.


    Chapter 2: Membership and Use of Services

    Article 1 (Definition of Member)

    A “Member” refers to both patients and non-patients who agree to these Terms, complete the membership registration form, and are issued an ID and password.

    1. Membership levels are classified as temporary members and regular members.

    2. Temporary members register by entering only their email address and password. Regular members register through the official registration page.

    Article 2 (Definition of Terms)

    • ID: A combination of letters and numbers selected by the member and approved by Chamjin Clinic for identification and service use.

    • Password: A combination of letters and numbers set by the member to protect privacy.

    • Administrator: A person appointed by Chamjin Clinic to manage and operate the services.

    • Termination: The act of either the member or Chamjin Clinic terminating the service contract after activation.

    Article 3 (Membership Levels and Privileges)

    Temporary members may browse all posts on the Chamjin Clinic website.
    Regular members may browse all posts and have access to online consultations and posting of treatment reviews.

    Article 4 (Formation of Service Contract)

    1. The service contract is formed when a user agrees to the Terms and Chamjin Clinic approves the application.

    2. Applicants must provide personal information as requested.

    3. Regular members must use their real name.

    4. Once approved, Chamjin Clinic issues the ID.

    5. The ID cannot be changed and one person can only have one ID.

    6. Chamjin Clinic may withhold approval in the following cases:

      • Lack of service capacity

      • Technical issues

      • Other operational reasons

    7. Chamjin Clinic will not approve applications if:

      • Another person’s name is used

      • The real name is not used

      • False information is provided

      • The application is made for unlawful or immoral purposes

    Article 5 (Service Use and Restrictions)

    1. Services are available 24/7 unless operational or technical issues arise.

    2. Service hours may be restricted for maintenance with prior notice.

    3. Consultation services may not be available 24/7 due to circumstances of Chamjin Clinic or consultants.

    Article 6 (Service Fees)

    1. Services are free of charge.

    2. If paid services are introduced, Chamjin Clinic will announce the policy, timing, and fees in advance.


    Chapter 3: Withdrawal, Re-registration, and Restrictions

    Article 1 (Withdrawal)

    Members may withdraw directly from “My Page → Edit Profile.”

    1. Members may also request withdrawal by email.

    2. Upon verification of identity, membership is canceled.

    3. If login fails with the existing ID and password, withdrawal is complete.

    Article 2 (Re-registration)

    1. Withdrawn members may reapply by email.

    2. After identity verification, membership is reactivated.

    3. If login with the existing ID and password is successful, re-registration is complete.

    Article 3 (Restrictions)

    Chamjin Clinic may suspend or terminate service without prior notice if a member:

    • Violates public order or decency

    • Commits or plans illegal acts

    • Damages national or public interest

    • Steals another’s ID/password

    • Defames others

    • Has duplicate accounts

    • Disrupts service

    • Violates laws or Terms


    Chapter 4: Limitation of Liability for Services

    Article 1 (Consultation Services)

    Chamjin Clinic strives to keep consultation content secure. However, Chamjin Clinic is not liable for disclosure or loss due to:

    • User’s negligence in managing their password

    • User deletion of consultation

    • Force majeure

    Consultation content may be used anonymously for academic and service improvement purposes.

    Article 2 (Information Services)

    1. Service information is general and not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or treatment.

    2. Chamjin Clinic does not endorse specific products or treatments.

    3. Users are responsible for their reliance on information.

    Article 3 (Member Content)

    Chamjin Clinic may delete posts that:

    • Defame others

    • Violate public morals

    • Are illegal or infringe rights

    • Are advertisements

    Article 4 (Copyright)

    1. Rights and responsibilities of posts lie with the poster. Chamjin Clinic may not use them for profit without consent.

    2. Members may not commercially use posted materials.


    Chapter 5: Obligations

    Article 1 (Obligations of Chamjin Clinic)

    • Ensure service availability and stability

    • Handle member inquiries properly

    • Provide reasonable notice for delays

    Article 2 (Security of Member Information)

    • Members are responsible for managing their IDs and passwords.

    • Chamjin Clinic will not sell or share personal data without consent.

    • Cookies may be used for service optimization.

    • Personal data may be shared between Chamjin Clinic and partners for service provision.


    Chapter 6: Compensation and Dispute Resolution

    Article 1 (Liability and Dispute Resolution)

    1. Chamjin Clinic is not liable for damages incurred through service use.

    2. Disputes shall be resolved in good faith.

    3. Jurisdiction is the court where Chamjin Clinic is located.

    Article 2 (Disclaimer)

    Chamjin Clinic is not liable for:

    • Force majeure

    • User fault

    • Profit loss or damage from information use

    • Reliability of member content

    • Damages caused by member violations

    Privacy Policy – Chamjin Korean Medicine Clinic

    Chamjin Korean Medicine Clinic (“Chamjin Clinic”) complies with applicable privacy laws and regulations that information and communications service providers must observe, including the Protection of Communications Secrets Act, the Telecommunications Business Act, and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. (“Network Act”). In accordance with these laws, Chamjin Clinic establishes and adheres to this Privacy Policy to protect users’ rights and interests.

    1. Items and Methods of Personal Information Collection

    A. Items Collected

    Chamjin Clinic collects the following personal information for membership registration, smooth customer consultation, and provision of various services:

    • Name, ID, password, mobile phone number, date of birth, gender, email, address, occupation

    In addition, the following information may be generated and collected in the course of service use or business processing:

    • Browser type and OS, search keywords, service usage records

    • IP address, visit date and time, service usage history, records of improper use, address, payment records, cookies

    B. Methods of Collection

    Chamjin Clinic collects personal information through:

    • Website, written forms, fax, telephone, consultation boards, email, event entries, delivery requests

    • Provision from partner companies

    2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

    Chamjin Clinic uses the collected personal information for the following purposes.

    A. Member Management

    • Identity verification under the limited real-name system for member-only services, personal identification, prevention of fraudulent use and unauthorized access by misbehaving members, confirmation of intent to join, restriction on repeated sign-ups, retention of records for dispute resolution, handling complaints, and delivery of notices

    B. New Service Development and Marketing

    • Development of new services and provision of customized services, display of advertisements based on demographic characteristics, verification of service effectiveness, provision of event and promotional information, analysis of access frequency, and statistics on members’ service usage

    3. Sharing and Provision of Personal Information

    Chamjin Clinic uses users’ personal information within the scope notified in “2. Purpose of Collection and Use.” It does not use information beyond such scope or disclose it to third parties without prior consent, except in the following cases:

    • Where users have consented in advance to disclosure

    • Where disclosure is reasonably deemed necessary under applicable laws (e.g., requests from government or investigative agencies pursuant to due legal procedures)

    4. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

    Chamjin Clinic does not outsource the processing of customers’ personal information to external parties.

    5. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

    In principle, users’ personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. However, the following information is retained for the periods specified below.

    A. Retention under Internal Policy

    • Records of improper use
      Reason: Prevention of fraudulent use
      Period: 1 year

    B. Retention under Related Laws

    Where retention is required by relevant laws such as the Commercial Act and the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce:

    • Records on contracts or withdrawal of offers
      Reason: Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce Act
      Period: 5 years

    • Records on payment and supply of goods
      Reason: Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce Act
      Period: 5 years

    • Records on consumer complaints or dispute resolution
      Reason: Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce Act
      Period: 3 years

    • Records on identity verification
      Reason: Network Act
      Period: 6 months

    • Records on visits (access logs)
      Reason: Protection of Communications Secrets Act
      Period: 3 months

    6. Destruction Procedures and Methods

    In principle, users’ personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved.

    A. Procedures

    Information entered by users for membership registration, etc., is transferred to a separate database (or stored in a separate file cabinet for paper-based information) after the purpose is achieved and is stored for a certain period pursuant to internal policies and related laws (see “5. Retention and Use Period”) before being destroyed. Such information will not be used for purposes other than retention unless required by law.

    B. Methods

    • Personal information printed on paper: shredded or incinerated

    • Personal information stored in electronic files: deleted using technical methods that render the records irrecoverable

    7. Users’ and Legal Representatives’ Rights and Exercise Methods

    Chamjin Clinic does not collect resident registration numbers and does not post or provide harmful information to children; thus, when a child submits a personal information infringement report or consultation request, consent of the legal representative is not required. Children may submit such reports or requests directly.

    Users may access, correct, and delete their information at any time. Legal representatives of users or children under 14 may request account termination at any time. After logging in, users may modify personal information or withdraw membership under “My Page → Edit Personal Information.” Users may also contact the Personal Information Manager in writing, by phone, or by email; prompt action will be taken.

    If a user requests correction of an error, the relevant personal information will not be used or provided until correction is completed. If incorrect information has already been provided to a third party, Chamjin Clinic will promptly notify the third party of the correction so that the correction can be made.

    Personal information terminated or deleted at the request of the user or legal representative will be processed in accordance with “5. Retention and Use Period” and will not be viewed or used for any other purpose.

    8. Installation/Operation and Rejection of Automatic Collection Devices

    Chamjin Clinic uses cookies that store and retrieve user information to provide customized services. Cookies are small pieces of information sent by the server (HTTP) operating the website to the user’s browser and may be stored on the user’s hard drive.

    A. Purpose of Cookies

    To identify the visits and usage patterns of each service and website of Chamjin Clinic, popular search terms, secure connections, news editing, and user scale, in order to provide optimized information.

    B. Installation/Operation and Rejection

    Users may choose whether to accept cookies. By setting options in their web browser, users can allow all cookies, receive a prompt each time a cookie is stored, or refuse storage of all cookies.

    Refusing cookies may cause difficulties in using some services requiring login.

    9. Technical and Managerial Safeguards

    Chamjin Clinic implements the following measures to prevent loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage of personal information.

    A. Measures Against Hacking, etc.

    We regularly back up data to prevent damage, use up-to-date antivirus programs, control unauthorized access through an intrusion prevention system, and strive to implement all possible technical measures to ensure system security.

    B. Minimization and Training of Personnel

    Access to personal information is limited to designated staff. Separate passwords are assigned and regularly updated for those in charge, and ongoing training is provided to ensure compliance with this Privacy Policy. Issues discovered are promptly corrected.

    Chamjin Clinic is not responsible for problems arising from the user’s negligence or internet issues that lead to the leakage of personal information such as ID, password, or mobile phone number.

    10. Personal Information Manager and Contact

    Chamjin Clinic designates a Personal Information Protection Manager and staff in charge to receive opinions and handle complaints regarding personal information.

    This Privacy Policy does not apply to personal information collection practices of websites linked to Chamjin Clinic’s website.

    12. Duty of Notice

    If there are additions, deletions, or modifications to this Privacy Policy, Chamjin Clinic will provide notice on the website “Notice” section at least seven days prior to the effective date.
